TruVizion Now Provides Port-level Data Analytics
Today we’re announcing the release of new functionality in TruVizion, ZCorum’s network data analytics application for cable broadband providers.
Read on for details and instructions for accessing the new features, or watch the screencast demonstration on YouTube.
Data Analytics by Port
TruVizion users can now access historical data regarding the performance of individual ports. The Port screen displays a historical view of a port’s health, including RF Levels, Average Upstream SNR, Bandwidth, Modem Status and Packet Errors.
Rather than showing an average value, charts on the Port screen show the worst readings during the time period shown, making it easier to see those time when a port was having problems.
90 Days of RF Data for Modems and Ports
By default, both the data analytics screens for Modems and Ports show the last 24 hours of data. Now, you can use the radio buttons at the top of the screen to view the last 7, 30, or 90 days of data.
You can also drill into specific time frames in RF Level graphs by clicking and dragging to the desired time period. To return to the previous view, click the Zoom icon in the corner of the graph. All RF graphs are synchronized and will adjust to the selected time frame.
Automatic Modem Data Refresh
Data on the Modem screen now refreshes every 60 seconds using TruVizion’s new Auto Update feature. If you prefer to disable this feature while you’re troubleshooting, simply un-check the Auto Update option at the top right of the Modem screen. Even if you disable Auto Updates, you can click the Reload icon in the top menu to refresh the Modem data at any time.
More Ways to Navigate
In addition to using the network navigator available on the left side of the TruVizion interface or following links in the display panes, users can now follow breadcrumb navigation in the top left corner to access the Port and CMTS screens.
